Update 0.7 Expands Vehicle Roster and Enhances Visual Effects

Pubblicato il 5 giugno 2026

Assetto Corsa Evo has released Update 0.7, marking a significant milestone in its Early Access program by introducing a suite of new vehicles, a sophisticated new particle system, and the official Assetto Corsa Evo SDK.

New Vehicles and the Assetto Corsa Evo SDK

The vehicle roster has been expanded with four diverse additions, ranging from modern GT racing machines to classic Japanese icons. The new lineup includes:

  • Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II

  • Datsun 240Z (S30) – available in two distinct variants

  • Porsche 935 (2019)

  • Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport Evo (991II)

A major highlight of this update is the debut of the Assetto Corsa Evo SDK. This new Editor Tool is designed for technically-minded players, allowing for the creation of custom vehicles intended for use in single-player racing. While the current focus is on single-player content, future updates are expected to bring the ability to use these custom creations in multiplayer environments.

Visual and Audio Enhancements

To increase immersion, Update 0.7 introduces a brand-new particle system that manages smoke, dirt, spray, and impact effects. This visual overhaul is complemented by significant renderer improvements. Notably, the texture streaming logic has been completely refactored to use GPU feedback, which should ensure more consistent behavior on larger maps and reduce stuttering. Further refinements include improved indirect specular contribution in shadowed areas, more accurate cloud shadows, and a fog formulation that better aligns with volumetric rendering for truer reflections.

The audio experience has also received a substantial boost. The update includes a new FMOD project version and several specific vehicle overhauls:

  • Lotus Exige V6: Brand-new interior sounds.

  • Toyota Supra RZ (stock): A complete sound overhaul covering interior, exterior, custom turbo, and custom backfires.

  • Toyota Supra (drift variant): A full engine rework featuring adjusted turbo volumes, rev limiter rumble, and refined part-throttle modulation.

Physics, Multiplayer, and UI Improvements

Under the hood, Update 0.7 brings various balancing passes to the existing roster. This includes engine inertia tweaks for the BMW M3 E46, default setup adjustments for the Toyota GR86, and balancing for both the BMW M3 E30 and the Mercedes-Benz 190E. Additionally, power figures and torque delivery have been adjusted across several other vehicles.

For multiplayer enthusiasts, the update introduces a tuning filter and adds mechanical variants and Performance Index (PI) data to the results dump. A much-needed fix has also been implemented for the restart session command, which now automatically repairs all cars in the session. On the UI side, players will benefit from new customization categories to reduce menu clutter, a car specs sheet during mechanical variant selection, and an "exit to desktop" button for quicker navigation.

Players can download Update 0.7 immediately to experience these new features and tools.
