Update 0.6.3 Enhances Physics, Stability and Audio

Publié le 6 mai 2026

Assetto Corsa Evo has received Update 0.6.3, a patch focused on enhancing vehicle audio fidelity, improving multiplayer stability, and resolving several critical crash scenarios. This update brings significant refinements to specific vehicle models and addresses essential server-side requirements for the community.

Audio and Vehicle Improvements

A major portion of this update is dedicated to audio overhauls for several key vehicles. The BMW M8 Competition has been completely reworked with new sound samples, featuring custom turbos and updated timing for the dual-clutch autocut, autoblip, and downshift functions. Similarly, the Audi RS 3 received a comprehensive engine sound rework for both interior and exterior environments, alongside turbo sound updates, custom backfires, and refined autocut and autoblip timings.

Other vehicle adjustments include:

  • BMW M2 Performance: Updated setup limits and the addition of adjustable ride height.

  • VW Golf 8 GTI: Fixed a bug involving the missing gear readout on the dashboard display.

  • Ferrari 288 GTO: Corrected a typo on the speedometer.

Stability and Multiplayer

For players participating in online sessions, a critical update has been released for the Dedicated Server app. While the server app remains backwards compatible, it is not forwards compatible; therefore, players must ensure that both the server and the game clients are running version 0.6.3 to maintain connectivity.

The patch includes a wide array of stability fixes to prevent various crash scenarios, such as:

  • Fixes for crashes during startup related to log file deletion and the shared memory writer.

  • Resolution of an issue preventing certain AMD users from launching the game when DLSS was enabled.

  • Fixes for crashes occurring within the penalty manager and during penalty assignment.

  • Improved protections for shared memory functions and fixes for invalid data reads from the CarCameras file.

Physics and Gameplay Refinements

The development team has also implemented several technical improvements to the physics engine and multiplayer netcode. These changes aim to provide a more consistent and reliable racing experience:

  • Physics: Fixed tyre contact patch force spikes and unified setup limits across all GT3 cars.

  • Multiplayer: Ensured that collisions are now correctly recorded in server results, added netcar position protections, and ensured that disconnected netcars no longer leave skidmarks.

  • Track-Specific Fixes: Resolved an issue regarding "Failed to get control points ahead" for netcars at the Nordschleife Tourist circuit.
